Shankar's remuneration higher than mahesh babu

After the mega film, ‘Robo’ with super star Rajani Kanth, Director, Shankar is all set to join the sets of the remake of Bollywood film, 3-Idiots. The movie will be remade bi-lingually in Telugu and Tamil versions simultaneously. Gemini film Circuit has bought the remake rights of this Bollywood biggest hit film.

Earlier, we have reported that Mahesh has been paid a whopping sum of 8Crores as remuneration for this film and Ileana paid about 1.5 Crores for both the versions of the film. Now the latest buzz is that Director Shankar was paid a huge amount of Rs.12 Crores for this particular film. Usually, the stars are paid more than the directors however Shankar seems to be quite different to this, setting new standards. Mahesh is said to have given sixty days of call sheets to this film and Shankar is also in the frame of mind to complete the shooting part of the film early.

Himesh reshammiya and girlfriend break up

All is not well between Himesh Reshammiya and his lover TV actress Sonia Kapoor. Sonia is no longer a regular at Reshammiya’s flat in Sky Heights, Lokhandwala. Sources say that the two lovers have definitely parted ways.
Sonia and Reshammiya were dating each other since 2006. A few months ago, there was even talk of how Sonia goes back to her flat in Castle Tower, Oshiwara, and plays Reshammiya tracks at deafening decibels, annoying her neighbours.
A source said, “Since the past two months, Sonia is not seen in our building anymore. Pehle woh roz dikhti thi. Sonia and Reshammiya are now just friends.”
According to the report that broke Reshammiya’s extra-marital affair, his parents and wife Komal had no objection to the dalliance; they had accepted the fact and welcomed Sonia to their family. Reshammiya and Sonia even went on holidays together. On New Year’s Eve, they travelled to Sri Lanka. He also used to take care of all her expenses and had been recommending her to all his producer and director friends. The couple had even been spotted going for a spin Himesh’s Merc.
However, Sonia and Himesh put up a very brave front when we called them last evening. Said Reshammiya, “Sonia and I are still friends.” Seconded Sonia, “That’s right. And you know what, we were never in a relationship.”

Dolly, samir thrown out of bigg boss for voilating rules

News just come in is that Dolly Bindra and Samir Soni have been ousted from the reality show, Bigg Boss season 4, aired on Colors. Both the housemates had a huge quarrel with each other and there are unconfirmed reports that they also got into a physical fight and hit each other.
A source says, ” Dolly always had a violent streak and would lose her temper for anything and everything. It so happened that Dolly didn’t want to wait for anyone and wanted to start doing the morning exercise assigned by Bigg Boss. When Shweta said that she has to wait for everyone, that is when she lost her temper. Samir immediately intervened when Dolly tried to get close to Shweta. He tells Dolly, aapne start kiya aur usne (Shweta) kuch nahi bola, bahut ho gaya. By this Dolly had already lost her temper and was yelling at the top of her voice.”
Samir was so upset that he threw his mic in one corner and refused to wear it even after Bigg Boss repeatedly warned him to wear it. Dolly too was extremely fumed after the entire fight.
Ex-contestants who were a part of Bigg Boss season 4 react to this sudden ouster of these two participants.
Aanchal Kumar says, “I could see this coming. I knew very soon that someone would lose his cool as things were getting uglier. There is a limit to ones tolerance. Samir is a great guy, educated and from a civilised background and I am sad he is out. I am sure the other inmates must be relieved at Dolly’s ouster.”
Rahul Bhatt says, “I am not at all shocked to hear this. His patience was being tested for quite a long time. He is such a nice guy and a genuine person. It will be interesting to see if there are any new faces that will be added inside the house.”
Across the border, Ali, who considered Samir as his elder brother, was sad to know about his exit. “I am very sad to listen about Samir’s exit. I know how upset he would get when he used to get nominated. I am happy to know that Dolly is out as she had spoiled the environment of the house ever since she entered the show.
“Bigg Boss ke ghar mei der hai par ander nahi” jokes Ali.
Sakshi says, “I am shocked that Samir is out. Dolly must have really tested his patience”
Samir and Dolly were unavailable for comment.

Celina’s not so good experience at Kolkata airport!

According to Celina Jaitley, some jawans took her case in a very cheap manner.
She was at the Kolkata airport and there were the Central Industrial Security Force (CIFS) jawans doing their ordered service. But according to Celina one of the jawans tried to misbehave with her.
She was carrying a costly branded bag and had asked for a tray to the airport authorities as she does it everywhere else in India and is quite used to it. So that she could get her bag pass through all the customs and intense security checks.
After sometime that she placed her bag on the tray, a jawan picked it up and banged it on the conveyor belt. This apparently damaged her bag That damaged the skin of the bag (which was rather too costly approximately worth Rs.1.25 lac).
According to the beautiful brunette actor, this wasn’t the end of it all. After this she tried to speak to the jawans regarding the event and spoke in Bengali with him, but the arrogant jawan carried on his behavior and supposedly told her not to talk in Bengali and said “Madam, yahan Bengali nahin chalti!”
A disgusted looking Celina was certainly very annoyed with this and was very upset about the whole incident. “Are we not allowed to speak in a language that we are comfortable in? Is every person supposed to speak in English?” is what she asked the authorities.
Troubled by this, she instantly logged a complaint about the entire incident to the management. But, four or five guys amongst the jawans ganged up on her and again started misbehaving and ridiculing her for having carried such a costly bag.

Imraan and Avantika will get married on Jan 8

The ceremony will take place in Karjat on January 8. All the informal invites have already been sent out. To coincide with the Diwali festivities on the weekend, informal invitations were extended for Imran’s wedding with Avantika Malik. The actor will tie the knot on January 8 with his fiancée at their Karjat farmhouse.

A close source to the actor revealed, “Though it is exactly two months away, the preparations are in full swing. Those on the guest list were sent SMSes or told on the phone to keep themselves free on January 8 from 5 pm to 5 am. The message stated that a formal invite of the wedding card would follow later.”

The source added, “As it was Diwali, it was considered an auspicious occasion to start with the invitations.” The Malik’s are telling everyone to keep themselves free on the wedding day. They are going to have dusk till dawn bash for their wedding.

The nephew of Aamir Khan had his engagement party with a brunch, followed by the ceremony and dinner in the evening. For this occasion he gifted Avantika a Volkswagen Beetle. The engagement invite was in the shape of a metal box, which had a bottle full of sand. The invite was rolled inside the bottle.

Imraan has always been very open about his relationship with Avantika. They were amongst the few people who were invited for the opening of Arjun Rampal’s nightclub in Delhi and a toast was raised for them.

The betrothal ceremony of Jr NTR and Lakshmi Praneeta was held on 1st April, 2010, from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Lakshmi Praneeta’s residence in Hyderabad. The members of Nandamuri family, Nara family as well as the Narne family attended the function. From the film industry circle SS Rajamouli, Kodali Nani, Rajeev Kanakala, VV Vinayak, Aswini Dutt, Mehar Ramesh and Keeravani were invited. The function was held under tight security.
Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and state minister Bhatti Vikramarka along with his family members were the prominent figures. However Lakshmi Parvathy was not invited for the betrothal function. The wedding date has been fixed as May 9th.

In a recent interview, Ram Gopal Varma emphatically declared that Rakta Charitra is not for women. He said: ‘They can sit at home.’ As I endured the incessant violence of the movie — sickles slitting throats, a drill boring into a skull, limbs being hacked and countless women being abducted and raped — I wondered if I should have taken Varma’s advice and just stayed at home.
Rakta Charitra is a bio-pic of Paritala Ravi, a politician from Andhra Pradesh, played here by Vivek Oberoi, whose career began with murder and ended when he was assassinated in broad daylight by his rivals.
This film is part one of this horrifically fascinating story, which illustrates the heart of darkness that constitutes politics in India. The murderous saga of revenge and counter-revenge begins with momentum but then gets bogged down by its repetitive mayhem, an annoying voice-over and exhausting decibel levels. Varma isn’t one for subtlety.
The sound-track is blaring and despite the rivers of blood that flow freely, every character feels the need to say rakta as often as he can.
The director has little interest in the psychology and evolution of his characters so Pratap goes from college to killing without batting an eye-lid and then, with the same ease, moves from outlaw to minister. Instead what seems to fascinate Varma is extreme behaviour.
As Karan Johar revels in beauty, Varma revels in ugliness. So he spends an inordinate amount of time on exploring the ways in which people can hurt each other and his depiction of depravity feels uncomfortably voyeuristic.
And of course like earlier Varma films, this one too features a gallery of singularly unattractive faces shot at peculiar angles and the requisite sweaty celebration song.
There are some powerful moments and strong performances here — Abhimanyu Singh as an unhinged goon is especially good. Oberoi also shows flashes of prowess and the real discovery is the surprisingly sober and effective Shatrughan Sinha. But how much you relish Rakta Charitra is directly connected to your threshold for gore.
If like me, it’s low, I suggest you take Varma’s advice and sit at home.

4 crore? The answer is still no: Saif-Kareena

 Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor refuse to perform at a gutkha wedding where everyone from Salman to SRK will be dancing. The duo has decided as a rule to stop performing at weddings, no matter what fee is offered
Most of B-Town including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif at a wedding in Delhi on November 18. But one couple have decided to stay away from it in spite of being offered big bucks Saif Ali Khan and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
Not for strangers
Says a source, "The couple was offered to perform at the wedding between two gutkha families and were offered almost Rs 4 crore but they turned it down.
They had taken a decision over a year ago that no matter what the price offered, they would not dance at wedding functions of strangers. That is strictly reserved for family and friends."
The reason for the star couple's non-performances at weddings is parental disapproval. Mainly his. The chote nawab comes from a royal family, and it is belittling for them to perform at weddings for cash.
Even Bebo's parents weren't exactly thrilled with the idea of them dancing at private functions. While shows and events like award functions are fine, they draw the line at weddings.
Saifeena were shocked to hear that they were part of the 'gutkha wedding' in the media and decided to clarify their stand."
Hum bhi nahin...
While Saif and Kareena took the decision not to perform at weddings a year ago, Ajay Devgn and his wife Kajol have never performed at weddings.
It's a stand they had taken right in the beginning of their careers and till now, haven't changed their minds though they have been offered big money to perform together.
In fact, Devgn has often expressed his displeasure of stars performing at shows, events and weddings. Sunil Shetty also doesn't perform at weddings.
